I shop at Lydl sometimes and I have 2 great big canvas Lydl bags that I use everywhere, even when I go to Tesco. I may be a lot of things but I am no snob!

I shop there for certain items. Who cares where you shop? I respect the person who supports their process rather than a wasteful one like Wal Mart.

This behaviour is such materialistic bullshit it's shameful. Years ago people used to do it with Harrods bags.
The age we live in is utterly pathetic.

Maybe the take the carrierbags because they dont want to have to pay for bags there? I duno if its the same in England but in Spain & Germany you have to pay for carrier bags in Lidl so its easier to take your own. Duno about Aldi though. Means you dont waste a bunch of bags either. I dont see anything wrong with shopping in Lidl.

Yes I do. When she was out one day a friend and I tied as many Aldi, Lidl and Netto bags to her line in the garden as we could lay our hands on. It took her ages to get them off, but she had a good laugh about it.

I often go to Lidl and Netto for part of my food shopping and I am guilty of using my own bags but... it isn't cos I don't want people to know that's where I have shopped but because I resent using plastic carrier bags so I take my own 'bags for life' type bags and fill em up! Some of their products are much better than the big name supermarkets!

I thought they took their own bags because Aldi doesn't provide them?
I think some of my neighbors shop there.
I would have no problem with it but the closest one is in a crappy hood.

I went to Aldi today and put my shopping into my folding shopping bag that I keep in the car, it`s from Spar. I only used that because it was in trhe car, it could so easily have been my bag from Bransby horse sanctuary or evem a backpack that are all also kept in the car.
