I would imagine that would depend on the business, sometimes it pays to give out a few freebies to get word of mouth going on what a great product you have.

Depends on what line of business you are in.
If retail then sure make friends with your customers with a few freebies.
If you are in the sex trade I would say no you cannot afford to give it away.
