use clear silicone around the edge of the screen it will hold and you'll be able to remove it iff need be

I was going to say duct tape, then I read you want it theft proof.
In that case you need to "contain" the monitor in lock box, possibly fashioned from plexy glass.
Why not mount it high so it would not be easily tampered with?

It would be better if you haven't spent the money yet to use a window display screen with a rear projector so that the image appears on the window itself.

Put on the inside of the glass
assuming it doen't need touch screen access).
Use heavy duty double-sided tape to attach flat part of margin around monitor to glass.
