There is no contest, the Skoda is built by Volkswagon and much better. The Skoda is a 4**** euroncap car and the diesel will be very good.

Suzuki's generally are poor in crash tests, but have a look at euroncap.com and see for yourself.

There is another car you have overlooked, and this is the Hyundai Getz, which is better than both the others, and the 1.3 petrol is cheap as chips to run and to buy second hand too.

well ,Skoda ,now a german built car is quite reliable,but the susuki-4 what ever that is might have more accessories or might be more economical,check out the mpg on both,skoda is very basic,cant say about the susuki4 model.

A suzuki SX-4 because its japanese. Its very reliable, low maintenance than Skoda but performance wise it has to be the skoda because it's now built by VW in germany. And as you know VW are very good. But if i were you, i would go for a Honda Jazz or Toyota Yaris because both are very good in value, extremely relaible, very spacious, nice gadgets inside the car and very quick too. Or you might be even interested in getting the much awaited TATA small car which is worth
Rs 100000 in india, and in UK it will be worth around £2000 when it gets launched here. The Tata small car will be selling like newspapers as its cheap, environmental friendly, nice looking, 4 doors, nice interiors and most importantly low costs to run the car.

Suzuki is a dent in the fame to the reliability of japanese cars. I'd personally go for the skoda if your only choosing between those two as it seems to have good ratings and is now german owned by VW. However, if you got the money and reliability and economy is your top priorities then i'd go for a Honda / Toyota would be a choice you wouldnt regret.
