Do you start now, blitz it on Christmas Eve or squirrel pressies away throughout the year when you find good items?

I prefer doing the shopping in early November, that way I don't have to worry about keeping everything hidden but I don't have to be stressed out about it and rushing to find things in early December.

4.00 pm on Dec 24th, you're on a mission. There's always the service station on the way to dinner on Xmas morning. (I know, screenwash is not the BEST Xmas prezzy but if you are desperate......).

Do most of it online.
Takes the stress out of it, no queues, no parking problems, no sore feet.
Start in October finished by November
Happy days

Do it on line? Couple of beers. Credit Card. Send to your Family direct. Then you don't have to see them on xmas day.and life is cool. spend the morning in bed with the one you love.

I go to Argos on Christmas Eve about 5.30pm and buy everyone a gift token. No one gets dissapointed and I know exactly how much I have to spend.

I do my holiday shopping all year long. When I see a good sale, I grab something then and there.
I still enjoy being out on Christmas Eve. There's so much energy and good feelings.... Even if I believe I have everything bought I can't resist heading to the mall the afternoon/night before.

I usually start around late November. I work nights so on my days off I can shop then. Usually I see something on impulse that might suit someone, consider the price - not too cheap but not too expensive either. Is the present useful?
I do this with everyone. I'm working over Christmas, like last year.

Well, being sixteen and car-less, I can't usually just get up and go buy stuff without everyone in the house knowing... But I use the fact that my parents are divorced and live on opposite sides of the country to my advantage.
Before break, I shop for my dad with the money my mom gives me, because I live with my mom. During break, my stepmom gives me 40-60 dollars to spend on presents, and I usually end up getting stuff for my real mom. I reverse the presents, and give my dad's side theirs that I bought at my mom's house, and when I get back in January, I give my mom's hers that I bought at my dad's house.
And, please, before anyone berates me about getting a job and paying for the presents myself, my mom won't let me, because she says that my grades will suffer >.<

By starting your shopping now, you will not have to part with huge sums of money at once. However, I found that if you start wrapping pressies (to prevent nosey children finding out) you tend to forget what each item is, and what you have already bought. So now you have the dilemma of buying now and finding the best hiding place or buy stuff later.
