Sure, but it gets cold there. However, they have a lot of shops & stores underground where the temperature is bearable.

Montreal is great around Christmas time. Went there last year and they have outdoor skating, nice displays in Old Montreal. Great shops and good prices. Definately go, it wont be too too cold and the people there are great.

Montreal is a beautiful city- great shopping too. But you would be cheaper to go to Toronto. It is cold, but at the moment, its not so bad, The american dollar is crap at the moment, so you could nip into usa to see what kind of bargins you can get. But why??? Canada is much better!
Montreal people are only rude to other canadians, if you are british, or have an accent, they will love you.
I always play a British person when I visit.. I have never had a ignorant comment yet.
Happy Shopping
