I donate year round to the various organizations in our area who help those in need, not only at Christmas. We have a local food bank that is always in need of canned goods, clothing, school supplies. I help when I can.

I donate throughout the year. I do make sure to donate to the toy drives via through several agencies and the church as well; I also donate to the animal rescues; I have donated kennel pads so rescued dogs don't have to sleep on the floor; I donate to our local animal shelter; when I worked for a larger company, I would start the process of us sponsoring a family; I have done that several times; I can't do that now b/c it is just my boss and me in our office and with 4 children of my own , I don't have the financial means to do that; I wish that I could. Merry Christmas

I sorted the wardrobes out a few weeks ago and split the clothes we no longer want between the Salvation Army and a homeless scheme, though we donate all year round to various charities, I tend to save all our unwanted clothes for this time of year as the homeless scheme is crying out for clothes at this time of year.

I have donated a couple of unwanted gifts from last year to a charity shop. I always recycle my xmas cards and save postage stamps.

I will donate some, depending on the gifts given, and some food as well. I have just begun to round up things.
As you say a nice way to do for the less fortunate and to pass on the joy of the season a bit longer, Boxing day and beyond.
