That's rip-off Britain for. Any excuse to wring more of our hard earned money off us. Charge reasonable price and some of us might feel more inclined to buy.

i think hey whatever you want to think, you are entitled to your opinion. i think it is commercialized, but you can still have a good time with the day itself. make a nice card, make some love coupons - all set Smile

It can be a big rip off, price of flowers goes up and restaurant prices etc not to mention all the gimmick gifts brought out. However, it can be a lovely romantic time that does not need to cost you a lot. You can cook a meal or have a nice evening in and do things that cost nothing!!

If you don't make money at it, no one will. I was at a shop and out front they had a huge tent set up with all kinds of things like that. And selling loads. Some of the roses were absolutely fab!
I had no one to buy for, so I smiled, patted my pocked and walked on!
