Never complain about food....you will get spit. I knew a guy that used to pee in the pickle jar.

well if you want your chips cooked there and then like he said you will have to wait, how fresh do you want them, if they are no more than 25 minuets from cooked whats wrong as long as they are hot.
you must be a fussy eater and fast food take aways can't cater for fussy eaters.
i once worked in a chippy and this one guy would come in and want his chips well don't to the point they where browning and he would want his gravy this way and his peas more runny, in the end i just told him look you take what we have how it is or go somewhere else you just cant go running round for one guy when you have a shop full

Sometimes you have to wait a couple of minutes if they have just put a fresh batch into the fryer.. Otherwise it should come pretty much straight away. I don't think he'll spit in your food if you don't wait..!

(If you leave and don't wait, you won't get your food, will you?)

Also please bear in mind that Chip shop staff aren't always the most intelligent of people, so the rudeness may not be intentional.

I would never buy from someone who speaks rudely! There are so many shops with variety of chips and never aloow anyone to think you are at their mercy!

if he dishes up then walks out the back with your food then I wouldn't accept it, but chippies are pretty transparent you can see exactly what they are doing.

He was probably offended ( i know its stupid, but hey he runs / works in a chippy)

If he is rude again, remind who the customer is and if he doesnt want your business then it isnt a problem you will go elsewhere and tell everyone you know what a dic he is.

Its his job in the food service that you should get hot fresh chips to begin with...ask to speak to a manager if he's rude...never just walk away...but the biggest problem today is that the customer is rude.....the guy at the counter is rude...the people in the back are rude..etc...no one is polite anymore....I had a 50 year old man ball his fist up and draw back on a 17 year old waitress....whats this world coming too....you just stay sweet and remember there are a few of us out here who try not to be rude!

Just be glad you were asked to wait, i worked in a chippie when i was younger (my intelligence is just fine) and the owner would put out the night befores left overs with the fresh ones.
