Only big group I know is Pets at Home.. Most others tend to be local shops with perhaps only a few branches...

The main chain is pets at home

Smaller ones include pampered pets

Otherwise its just mainly smallers shops with 1 or 2 owners

it depends on the type of animals that you are interested in for example pets at home deal with fish, rabbits and other small animals whereas snakes and adders deal only with reptiles and lizards. in my opinion there is no such thing as one or two most popular pet shops in UK because everyone has a different idea about what a good pet shop should have.

Pets at Home seem to be the only chain,but there are quite a number of Very Good small pet shops in the area that I live with knowledgeable staff,also there are some good ones that specialise in Reptiles and Aquatics.
