Just wrong, that - christmas shopping is done on the 24th December at the local petrol station, everyone knows that....or is it just me that always gets charcoal?

Did you ever work in retail by any chance? After 5 years of working in a large shopping centre I got into the habit of starting in mid October. It was bad enough WORKING in a shopping centre during the Christmas madness, I had (and have) absolutely no desire to join the crush!

Nope. I have not started the whole running from shop to shop with a racing heart, getting feet trampled, moody shop attendants and crazed shoppers looking for bargins shopping experience yet. That was in years passed. This year...
We wont be able to make the trip to town till the week before. I am excited by Christmas this year and look forward to seeing my shopping experience as pleasant and warm. Enjoying the company of hubby as we wonder from store to store basking in the glow of Christmas cheer.......cause this year we wont have to drag the poor kids along they will love playing with grandparents as we shop for a few hours.
